Are animals sensitive to energy patterns?

By Nicole Marques

The Last Song
by Nicole Marques

I was living in New York City on 09/11 and experienced that tragedy along with many people.

On the following Saturday there was a Memorial on TV that I was watching while getting ready to go out on an herein.

I owned a beautiful canary at the time, gorgeous with a brown coat and a ruby throat. Unfortunately it would not sing except for few very discreet notes. His home, a golden cage with an open gate, was located next to the TV.

During the Memorial that morning a lady sang the National Anthem in a strong, beautiful voice, the emotion also was extremely strong, almost palpable!

After the first few notes, something very unusual happened, Berry my bird started to sing along with the lady on TV, in a magnificent voice going crescendo up until the end of the National Anthem.

I have to tell you that at first it was a little scary, the voice was so deep and strong, following the notes so well that it seemed unnatural and even spooky at the time, like the bird could feel the energy and was responding in its own way to the emotion and intensity of the moment.

Animals we all know are very sensitive to sound. They also react just like us to good or bad vibes and are designed to be sensitive to the emotions of others. They also have a "sixth sense" in detecting natural cataclysms long before the actual event occur. Thought is a form of energy. Could it be that "Berry" was infused by the energy vibrations sent by myself for sure and probably all the people present or watching the Memorial?

The thing is "Berry" never, ever sang after that! I chose to believe that his first (and last) real song could have very well been his own personal tribute to the tragedy.

**My bird passed away two years later.

Contributor's Note

The thumbnail image is a digital painting of mine that I created totally in a daze in 2001, only when finished did I realize that this painting was my depiction of the tragedy of 09/11. Just like my bird I probably absorbed all the powerful energy surrounding us at that particular time. A few souls are being greeted by a loving light-form, there a link to About.com where a larger size of this image is showing. In the center of the image one can also see what resembles the silhouette of a plane I do not remember placing there!

Oh my, that story gives chills! A beautiful thing that Berry sang, but it is strange that it was only on that day of the Memorial, and never singing before or after! I do believe that animals are extra-sensitive to energy vibrations. Enjoyed the story!
